Rotor Rush

Fly further

Hold to rise. Release to fall. That is the entire game — no enemies, no weapons, no power‑ups. The terrain is the opponent, and the only score that matters is how far you got.

The control scheme

There is one input, and it costs you fuel.

Your helicopter has momentum. It does not stop the instant you let go — it sinks, gathers speed, and takes a moment to answer the rotor again. Learning to fly it is learning to think a second ahead.

Button held

Hold to rise

The rotor bites and you climb — but holding burns fuel faster than letting go. Altitude is something you spend, not something you simply have.

Button released

Release to fall

Gravity takes over and the dive builds. Gliding is cheap, and a good line through the canyon costs less fuel than a panicked one.

What you fly through

A canyon that is never the same twice.

Every run is generated fresh, then paced deliberately — demanding stretches never stack, and a wide breather is forced in after a hard run.

  • Terrain

Open valleys, cave tunnels, stalactite rows, pillar gates, natural arches, floating islands, sheer drops and long climbs. No two runs give you the same shape twice.

  • Fuel & coins

Fuel cans are bought with coins, so the coins you pass up are the fuel you will not have. Miss a stop and you can still reach the next one — miss three and you are gliding on fumes.

  • Difficulty

It starts wide and forgiving and tightens one metre at a time. You will not notice how narrow it has become until you are already flying better than you were ten minutes ago.

  • Session length

Runs are short and retry is instant — a countdown, then you are flying. Built for the two minutes you have, not the two hours you don't.

The promise

You will never lose to a gap that was never there.

Every stretch of canyon is proved flyable before you ever see it. A simulated pilot flies each segment first, from several entry speeds, and anything it cannot survive is thrown away and regenerated.

The same goes for fuel: the game works out where you would run dry and puts a can there, with the coins to afford it already on your route. So when you hit a wall, it is because you flew into it.

Privacy policy

Rotor Rush collects nothing.

No personal information is collected, stored, transmitted or shared. Not anonymised, not aggregated, not for analytics, not for advertising, not for anything.

This is not a promise that could quietly stop being true in a later update. The app ships without the Android INTERNET permission, so it is not technically capable of sending anything anywhere. You can check this yourself on the Google Play listing under App permissions, where it reads “No permissions required”.

What the game saves on your device

Rotor Rush keeps a small amount of data in the app’s own private storage on your phone:

  • your best distance
  • your total coins collected
  • your music, sound and vibration settings

That is the entire list. It never leaves your device, except through Android’s own backup system if you have that switched on — in which case it is handled by Google under your own Google account’s terms, not by us. Uninstalling the app deletes it, and you can erase it at any time from Settings → reset progress inside the game.

What the game does not do

  • No accounts, no sign‑in, no registration
  • No advertising, and no advertising identifier is read or used
  • No analytics, crash reporting or telemetry of any kind
  • No location, camera, microphone, contacts, files or device identifiers
  • No in‑app purchases
  • No third‑party SDKs that collect data
  • No internet connection is used, required, or possible

Children

Rotor Rush is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone, including children. It complies with COPPA and the GDPR by virtue of collecting no data at all.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Rotor Rush ever collects anything, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the change will be described here with a new date.
